Two days of activities celebrating day of recognition initiated by Richard R. Wright, former slave and 1st President of Savannah State University, to commemorate President Abraham Lincoln’s signing the resolution proposing the 13th Constitutional Amendment to outlaw Slavery. WHCJ-FM 90.3 will broadcast students reading the radio speeches delivered by President Wright as part of the 29th Annual National African American Read-In Day.
